The Stem Cell Network NRW is looking forward to 80 million in funding for the new iPS Institute in Muenster.
On April 16, the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Prof. Dr. Annette Schavan, and Dr. Jürgen Rüttgers, Prime Minister of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, announced plans for the funding of a new reference center for stem cell research in Muenster.

The decision has been made:
Three junior scientist will be supported for five years by the Stem Cell Network NRW to set up their own research group. Joachim Goethert, Takashi Hiiragi and Wolfgang Wagner will be promoted with up to 250.000 Euros per year for their work at the University of Duisburg-Essen, at the Max Planck Institute for molecular Biomedicine and the RWTH Aachen.
Providing this funding for another 5 years the Ministry for Innovation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia strengthen its support for the Stem Cell Network. For further information please read the press release (in German language only).
